Simply, she strives to ensure that client services are high-tech and to always guarantee that client experiences are high touch. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Amy graduated from Columbia University in 1991, earned her real estate license in 1995, and her Broker’s license in 1999. After being a Top Producer at a local firm for more than a decade, Amy opened her own company, RE/MAX 8, in 2008.
Amy is a graduate of the REALTOR Institute, a Certified Residential Specialist, an Accredited Buyer Representative, and a Senior Real Estate Specialist. She is also a graduate of the Virginia Association of REALTORS’ Leadership Academy and has served on the Virginia Association of REALTORS’ Board of Directors. She was the New River Valley Association of REALTORS president in 2005 and 2015, and has received NRVAR awards for REALTOR of the Year, Salesperson of the Year, and Ethics in Action. In 2015, she was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.
She currently lives in Blacksburg with her husband Michael Mortimer while her 3 children attend college.
